Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo North opens with one-of-a-kind kabuki room

Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo NorthOn July 1st, leading Japanese hotelier Fujita Kanko Inc. opens Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo North, a moderately-priced new hotel in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan and a highly popular tourist destination. 

Centrally located in the Teramachi Kyogoku shopping arcade, a covered historical street lined with long-established family stores, the newly-built 97-room hotel provides an ideal base for visitors exploring Kyoto with easy access to numerous historical monuments and tourist attractions. The hotel is located a few subway stops away from Kyoto JR station, the main entry point for Kyoto, or fifteen minutes by taxi.

The hotel emphasizes concierge service with designated well-trained staff who can provide local information and assistance with various activities for international visitors. Spacious guest rooms all have separate toilets/bathrooms for additional comfort and the hotel’s restaurant serves breakfast using local ingredients.

Honoring that Kyoto is also the birthplace of Kabuki, the 500-year old classic Japanese theatre involving elaborate costumes, makeup and an exaggerated style of acting and dance with music, the hotel has created a one-of-a-kind, Kabuki-themed room. Designed after a traditional Kabuki theater with colorful yet intricate paintings on the walls and ceilings, and furnished with back-stage like furniture, traditional lanterns and ornaments, guests are transported to the world of Kabuki giving them a magical cultural experience. Guests staying at the Kabuki room also receive special amenities.

Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo North’s Kabuki Room is designed to give guests the magical cultural experience of kabuki.

In May 2017, Fujita Kanko will also open Hotel Gracery Kyoto Sanjo South in an adjacent property with an additional 128 rooms, bringing the total number of rooms at the location to 225. The two hotels are constructed in adjacent lots, strategically complementing each other. All 97 rooms of Hotel Gracery Kyoto North are double rooms while Hotel Gracery Kyoto South’s 128 rooms will all be twin rooms so that guests can choose the hotel that suits their needs.
