Exe Cites Reforma and Exe Santafé Boutique HotelSpanish company Grupo Hotusa continues its expansion in Latin America with two new establishments in Mexico City (Mexico) and Bogota (Colombia). Both hotels will become part of the Exe Hotels chain, which has more than 40 hotels in top international destinations.

The company has purchased NY.T Roma hotel in Mexico City, which will now be called Exe Cities Reforma 4*, and has signed a lease for the Exe Santafé Boutique Hotel 5*, its second establishment in Bogota alongside Exe Bacata 95 and awaiting the new Eurostars Bacatá 5*, located in the BD Bacatá tower with 323 rooms, which is expected to open in mid-2016.

Exe Cites Reforma 4* is a boutique hotel with 51 rooms located near the corner of Paseo de Insurgentes and Avenida de la Reforma, one of the main business areas in the city. The Mexican hotel also has two meeting rooms for social or corporate events with up to 130 people. Exe Santafé Boutique Hotel 5* is a modern establishment with 53 room located in north-eastern Bogota, in the Santa Bárbara neighbourhood. Its main facilities include an elegant restaurant with a breakfast buffet, three meeting rooms for events with up to 80 people, spa and full gym.

President of Grupo Hotusa Amancio López Seijas says, “We have very high expectations for our Exe Hotels and Eurostars Hotels chains in Bogota, and Colombia in general. We already have two Exe hotels and in 2016 will open what we are sure will become one of the most emblematic hotels in the city and the country: Eurostars Bacatá 5*”. López doesn’t rule out other operations in Colombia, Mexico or other Latin American countries, whatever the format, “as long as they are feasible projects that meet our chains’ quality standards in terms of facilities and services.”

The Spanish company has made internationalisation one of the cornerstones of its development. In 2015 alone the group incorporated a dozen new establishments in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Eurostars Hotel Company, the group’s hotel division, currently operates 150 hotels in 16 countries. In the Americas, the group is present in Argentina, Colombia, the United States, Mexico and Peru.

Eurostars Bacatá 5*: A high-end project

Eurostars Bacatá 5* is destined to become the new icon of urban development in the Bogota historical city centre. It will take up 40 of the 66 floors in the BD Bacatá tower, an architectural complex owned by BD Bacatá and designed by prestigious Catalan architecture firm Alonso-Balaguer y Arquitectos Asociados. It features two towers, the one which will house the hotel being the tallest building in Colombia with a total of 114,384 sqm.

Expected to open in mid-2016, the hotel will have a total of 323 rooms, including 19 suites, and 3,000 sqm of space for events and conventions in 16 meeting rooms. Likewise, the establishment will have a 550 sqm spa and wellness area and more than 800 sqm of food-service spaces, with two restaurants and two bar lounges. Apart from Eurostars Bacatá 5*, the tower will also have 396 apartments, 117 offices, more than 700 parking spots and a shopping centre with 30 shops.
