Best Western opens two new hotels in Nigeria

BW Meloch hotelBest Western Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of two new hotels in Nigeria located in the cities of Asaba and Awka. The addition of these two new hotels reinforces Best Western’s continued focus on its strong growth in West Africa.

“With these two recent openings, there are now 11 Best Western branded hotels in West Africa and with a very robust pipeline, we will continue expanding our footprint in this region in 2016,” said Suzi Yoder, Best Western Hotels and Resorts senior vice president of International Operations.

In Awka, the capital of Anambra State in Nigeria, the Best Western Meloch Hotel is a new construction three-star modern hotel conveniently located in the government district. The full service hotel offers complimentary breakfast, free Wi-Fi, business center services, on-site restaurant, cocktail lounge, pool, spa, fitness center, is fully air conditioned and has meeting space and catering services.

The Best Western Plus Elomaz Hotel, located in the capital city of Asaba in the Delta State in Nigeria, is conveniently located five minutes from the Asaba Airport. The hotel a new construction modern four-star full-service hotel offers 24-hour room service and dining in the on-site restaurant, a cocktail lounge, pool bar, fitness center, complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi. The hotel also has meeting and event space and on-site catering and business center services.

Awka and Asaba are integral cities in their respective states with both being the seat of state government and major link on the West- East Federal highway, between Lagos City and Benin City, as well as Onitsha and Enugu. The cities are primarily separated by the historic Niger River which is a trans-African link beginning in West Africa and flowing all the way down into the Atlantic.
