AccorHotels signs to manage 11 more Mercure hotels in the UK

AccorHotelsAccorHotels has announced it has entered into a commercial agreement with Amaris Hospitality Limited to manage 11 hotels (1,617 rooms) under Mercure, a leading midscale brand in the UK.

The hotels are located in Aberdeen, Bristol, Exeter, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Daventry, Haydock, St Albans, Brands Hatch and Walton and will complete integration by the end of this year.

Thomas Dubaere, Managing Director AccorHotels UK & Ireland said: “The signing of this significant number of hotels further demonstrates the ability of AccorHotels to grow its presence in the UK and build on our leadership position, whilst proving our commitment to the midscale sector, as we continue to push towards our target of 300 hotels (40,000 rooms) in the UK and Ireland.

Our leading brands, strong regional network, flexible approach to properties and locally inspired designs ensure we are the best option for partners wishing to work with a major hotel operator.”

These hotels will benefit from joining AccorHotels’ distribution network and be part of its digital and technical offering which was set out in July and will offer a range of digital solutions to all its partners.

These additional properties increase AccorHotel’s UK network to 217 hotels of which 84 are under the Mercure name, one of the leading UK midscale brands.
