The Warwick Cayo Santa Maria opens after a two-year of construction work with a budget of 112 million of Cuban pesos, approximately 99 million euros invested by Grupo Gaviota.
After having proved its expertise in the resort management with its 5 properties in the Fiji Islands for 30 years, WIH has now established its presence in the Carribean. WIH’s affiliate member, The Balaji Palace Playa Grande, in Rio San Juan, the recent purchase of The Warwick, Paradise Island, Bahamas in Nassau which will reopen after full renovations in 2015, the Naviti Beach Club in Varadero and today’s opening are all strong evidences of its willingness of setting up in the region.
