TRYP by Wyndham to open a new hotel in Valencia

Meliá Hotels International has announced further growth of its city hotel portfolio in Spain with the signing of a hotel in Valencia which will operate under the international TRYP by Wyndham brand. 

The hotel, currently named the Vora Fira, will be added in June under a franchise agreement and provides 127 rooms and other facilities including a restaurant, bar, pool, car park and meeting rooms. Thanks to its convenient location, next to Valencia’s trade fair site and 10 minutes from the airport, the new TRYP Valencia Vora Fira is an excellent option for business travellers. The hotel is also well connected to the city centre by public transport, as the Benimàmet metro station is just a short distance from the hotel.

The brand and hotel will benefit from the positive development of Feria Valencia and its Events Centre. Last year the city welcomed over 100,000 congress participants with an average daily expenditure of 330€. Torism numbers in Valencia have seen positive growth since 2009, in particular in the number of international travellers. In 2014, overnight stays increased by 4.2%, with a international tourism up by 8%. Corporate travel is also faring well, and Valencia is now Spain’s third most important city in attracting international corporate events, behind only Barcelona and Madrid.
