Three new Accor hotels to open in Recife, Brazil

Accor Recife_1In May 2015, three new addresses will open in Recife, which has been dubbed the “Brazilian Venice”.

Recife is a colorful city with many canals, superb religious buildings and a beach stretching for several kilometers. In a few months’ time it will be home to the Mercure Recife Mar Hotels Conventions, the Grand Mercure Recife Atlante Plaza and the Grand Mercure Summerville Resort, which will replace three hotels from the Pontes Hotels & Resorts network.

For Accor, bolstering its already substantial presence in Recife is no coincidence. Indeed, this city boasts the highest average daily rate and the best occupancy rate in the North-East region of Brazil, with more than 85% of travelers on business trips.

These three openings will add 432 rooms to Accor’s local network, making it the leader in Recife.
