HKS Hospitality Group, the renowned specialty hospitality architecture and interiors practice of HKS, has announced its expansion with the relocation of Associate Principal Michael Strohmer to the Los Angeles office.
HKS Hospitality Group, the renowned specialty hospitality architecture and interiors practice of HKS, has announced its expansion with the relocation of Associate Principal Michael Strohmer to the Los Angeles office. With more than 15 years of experience as a Design Architect and Project Designer at the HKS’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas, Mr Strohmer is a seasoned design veteran who will help the practice grow its presence throughout the West Coast and Asia in collaboration with the firm’s San Francisco office.

In addition to growing the Los Angeles studio in his leadership role, Mr Strohmer will forge new relationships in Los Angeles to uncover project opportunities while furthering relationships the group has cultivated. Mr Strohmer will also continue to work closely alongside the resources and regional expertise of HKS architects and interior designers in San Francisco.Ê

Mr Strohmer has an expansive resume that includes work throughout the United States and overseas including the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China; the World Islands of Dubai in Dubai; The Palazzo Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada; the dual-branded Le Meridien and AC Hotels Denver Downtown in Denver, Colorado; Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee; JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio; Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel in Plano, Texas; the JW Marriott Austin and The Aloft and Element Austin Downtown in Austin, Texas. He holds both a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington.
