Andrew Abram appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta

Andrew AbramMandarin Oriental, Jakarta is delighted to announce the return of Andrew Abram, who replaces Maximilian von Reden as General Manager. Mr von Reden has moved within the Group and will now lead the team at Mandarin Oriental, Prague.

Mr Abram is no stranger to Jakarta, having first been appointed General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Jakarta in 2004. During his first tenure, Mr Abram oversaw the closure and full renovation of the property as well as its successful re-launch in October 2009. He subsequently moved to take over management of Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, Chiang Mai in 2012 and brings with him overÊ30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, having begun his career in 1989 in London.

Mr Abram’s previous appointments include Resident Manager of The Excelsior, Hong Kong as well as General Manager of the Niccolo Hotel in Chengdu, China and Managing Director of Soneva Kiri in Thailand. In Jakarta, he will be responsible for the hotel’s operations and ensuring that the team continue to deliver the legendary service for which Mandarin Oriental is renowned.
