Yilmaz Yildirimlar named Area Senior Vice President for Central and Southern Europe at The Rezidor Hotel Group in Frankfurt

Yilmaz YildirimlarThe Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the most dynamic hotel groups in the world, is pleased to announce the promotion of Yilmaz Yildirimlar as the new Area Senior Vice President for Central and Southern Europe. Mr Yildirimlar succeeds Arno Schwalie, who will leave the company end of June 2017 to take up a new career step outside the hotel industry.

WithÊMr Yildirimlar’s appointment, The Rezidor Hotel Group signals its commitment to promoting leaders from within. Mr Yildirimlar started his career with Rezidor in Vienna in 1995, and has held several leadership positions at the Radisson Blu Hotels in Amsterdam, Manchester and Bucharest.

He has served as District Director for South Eastern Europe between 2011 and 2014. Most recently, the 50-year-old hotelier has held the position of the Regional Director in Eastern Europe, based in Moscow, since April 2014. In his new position, based in the Area Support Office in Frankfurt, Mr Yildirimlar will be responsible for some 90 Rezidor hotels with more than 20,000 rooms in 20 countries, effective June 1, 2017. The countries of Central and Southern Europe include Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Moldovia and Macedonia.

MrÊYildirimlar has studied hotel management in Austria and Washington. He holds an MBA in Finance and has earned several final degrees at Cornell University, New York (State), in the fields of leadership, real estate and asset management.ÊMr Yildirimlar is married and has two children.
