Dustin Irwin has joined Omni La Costa ResortÊand Spa as Director of Golf Operations, where he will supervise all golf-related programs as well as the two golf courses and golf staff.
Mr Irwin, 38, comes to Carlsbad from Turnberry Isle in Miami, where he was Director of Golf and Membership since 2015. He also spent nearly 10 years with The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott Hotel Corporation, focusing on property openings and the development and implementation of service programs at private, resort and mixed-use facilities. He served on the opening teams at six Ritz-Carlton properties, both domestic and international, from 2000-2009, including two private golf clubs and four golf resorts. Two of the resorts earned AAA Five Diamond status in the first year of operation.

Mr Irwin also has worked with PGA Tour events, including Accenture World Match Play Championships at Dove Mountain in Tucson and the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in Kapalua.
La Costa is one of 11 Omni Golf resorts in the country, with recent renovations enhancing the guest experience. The Champions Course, completed in November 2011, and the Legends Course, unveiled in November 2013, embrace the integrity of the original Dick Wilson design while recapturing the property’s timeless appeal. The renovations were overseen by PascuzzoÊand Pate Golf Course Design, which added length and enhanced strategic values.
