Hilton appoints Sumindi Peiris Vice President of Global Marketing, Luxury and Lifestyle Brands

Sumindi Peiris Hilton today announced Sumindi Peiris as Vice President of Global Marketing, Luxury and Lifestyle Brands. A senior marketing professional, Ms Peiris brings more than 20 years of international experience to the role, where she will lead all luxury marketing, digital and public relations initiatives as well as oversee the strategic development of global positioning for Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts and Canopy by Hilton.

Prior to joining Hilton, Ms Peiris most recently served as Vice President, Global Director Johnnie Walker Reserve in Singapore. During her tenure with the brand, Ms Peiris successfully launched global campaigns centered on storytelling, experiential programs and influencer advocacy using multi-media, digital platforms to expand awareness and strengthen the luxury portfolio globally.

Ms Peiris brings strong brand management capabilities with her international career in FMCG at Unilever to luxury spirits marketing at LVMH.

Fluent in both English and Sinhalese, Ms Peiris recently returned to the United States after living abroad in Singapore for three years. She received her bachelor’s degree in international business management from Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland, and earned her international MBA from Long Island University.
