Sage Hospitality appoints Gerry Link as General Manager for The Maven Hotel, Denver

Gerry LinkSage Hospitality is pleased to announce that Gerry Link is now serving as General Manager of The Maven Hotel, a vibrant new hotel concept opening next month in downtown Denver. The independent Maven will deliver an urban hotel experience with an energetic lobby highlighting an eclectic mix of local art and handmade products and a passionate staff who live for hospitality. The first Maven Hotel will anchor Denver’s new Dairy Block mixed-use development by Sage, McWHINNEY and Grand American, Inc.

Mr Link is a 35-year hospitality veteran with extensive luxury boutique experience. He joins Sage from 21c Museum Hotels, an award-winning hospitality company with six boutique hotels dedicated to contemporary art along with seven chef-driven restaurants. Link opened and served as General Manager of the 21c Museum Hotels in Cincinnati, Ohio and Durham, N.C., with both hotels garnering many awards under his leadership, including the Cincinnati hotel being recognized as the #1 Hotel in the United States for by Conde Nast Traveler.

A graduate of the University of Nevada Ð Las Vegas, Mr Link also spent more thanÊeight years with Renaissance HotelsÊand Resorts and 13 years with Hilton Hotels, including more than five years as the General Manager of the 250-room Hilton Vancouver HotelÊand Convention Center.

The Maven’s 172 modern guest rooms are being designed by Denver-based JNS and will exhibit a rich color palette and loft-style dŽcor. The hotel will also feature the 2,300-square foot Windsor Ballroom with hardwood floors and a mixture of exposed brick and wood walls.

Adjacent to the hotel will be Kachina Southwestern Grill, a second outpost of the popular modern southwestern grill by Sage Restaurant Group co-founder Peter Karpinski, as well as the Poka Lola Social Club, a lobby bar serving craft cocktails.

The Maven Denver is now accepting reservations as of April 5, 2017 at www.themavenhotel.com. ÒFind Yourself HereÓ opening rates for The Maven will start at $169 per night through the end of June, with the hotel’s extensive list of Destination Amenities included, such as a complimentary cocktail in the lobby daily, 10 per cent off all services at The Oxford Club, Spa and Salon and in-room Pour Over Coffee.

Dairy Block is a mixed-used redevelopment of the Lower Downtown (LoDo) block that once housed Denver’s Windsor Dairy. The soul of Dairy Block will be The Alley – a lively micro-district opening this summer that will run from 18th and 19th between Blake and Wazee Streets and house an eclectic mix of Colorado retailers, artisans, chefs and cocktail crafters. The Maven’s lobby and meeting space will also open up onto The Alley.

Dairy Block will also feature a six-story office tower, 66,000 square feet of prime restaurant and retail space and a 380-car below-grade parking garage Ñ all of which are being integrated with the three existing historic Windsor Dairy Block buildings.
