sbe announces Chris Sariego as Vice President and General Manager of Delano South Beach and SLS Baha Mar

Chris Sariegosbe, the leading lifestyle hospitality company that develops, manages and operates award-winning hospitality venues globally, today announced that hospitality executive Chris Sariego is joining as Vice President and General Manager of Delano South Beach in Miami and SLS Baha Mar in The Bahamas. Mr Sariego brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry. He has worked across the United States, Caribbean, South America and Europe.

“Chris joins sbe with extensive experience in the luxury hospitality industry,” said Jorge Giannattasio, Chief Operating Officer at sbe. “We are excited for him to run Delano, which is one of the premier destinations in Miami, as well as SLS Baha Mar, one of the most expansive developments in the Caribbean.”

Most recently, Mr Sariego spent over four years at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas as Senior Vice President and General Manager with direct responsibility for the Luxury Cove Resort, The Reef Luxury Residential Resort, The Dolphin Cay, The Marine Park and the Water Park. In addition, he was President of the Homeowners Association and President for the Blue Project Foundation. Previously, Mr Sariego held general manager and senior leadership roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott, Intercontinental and Starwood Hotels.

Mr Sariego holds an MBA from Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile and a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Florida International University in Miami.

Designed by Philippe Starck, the 194-room Delano South Beach is a luxury boutique hotel that balances eclectic details with grand public spaces that are playful, elegant, quietly theatrical and filled with all-night energy. Opening March 10, 2017, Delano will feature LEYNIA, led by Chef Jose Icardi. LEYNIA is an Argentinian Grill melding the rustic allure of open flame cooking. Guests will be delighted with theatrical touches like tableside food and drink presentations served from roaming Bicicletas. Umi Sushi and Sake Bar provides a casual dining experience at the hotel.

Set to open in the fourth quarter of 2017, SLS Baha Mar will infuse the Caribbean with SLS’s signature elements of surprise and delight, expected indulgences, and impeccable bespoke services that go beyond the status quo of luxury. Located in Nassau, The Bahamas, the resort was envisioned as a tropical sanctuary for connoisseurs of global culture and style, a place where dazzling natural scenery is paired with unparalleled service and amenities. Designed by Avenue Interior Design in collaboration with BNO, the hotel will have 299 rooms and 107 residences. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy food and cocktails at sbe Disruptive Restaurant Group’s exceptional venues including: Cleo, Katsuya and Bungalow Beach BarÊand Grill. SLS Baha Mar will also have 7,000 square feet of flexible event space.
