Robert Glowczwski named Director of Coastal Catering by Island Hotel

Robbie-Glowczwski 300Coastal Catering by Island Hotel has announcedÊthe appointment of hospitality industry pro Robert Glowczwski as its new Director, and he will supervise on and off-site social events, charity galas, private residence functions and corporate events.

Known for his collaborative spirit when working with guests and associates, Mr Glowczwski will be working side by side with Island Hotel’s Executive Chef David Man. Together, they look to offer new Coastal Catering experiences, including interactive culinary adventures and SoCal craft beer and brewery functions, among other customized themed events.

For the last six years prior to this appointment, Mr Glowczwski served as Director of Operations at ACCESS Destination Services based in Irvine, Calif., where he managed $8.5 million in destination services revenue annually. He started his meteoric career path at ACCESS in 1997 as a program coordinator.

Mr Glowczwski is a destination management certified professional (DMCP) under the auspices of the Association of Destination Management Executives (ADME) and a certified tourism ambassador (CTA) connected with Visit Anaheim. He served as chapter president for the Hospitality SalesÊand Marketing Association, International (HSMAI) from 2009 to 2011 and as treasurer in 2011. Mr Glowczwski is also proud to be an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
