Hotel brand and management company Dream Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Wischhoff as Vice President of Development for Europe and Africa. With nearly two decades of experience in executing hotel development, Wischhoff will be responsible for driving the company’s four lifestyle hotel brands to major cities across Europe and Africa. Home to its Dream Hotels, Time Hotels, The Chatwal and Unscripted Hotels brands, Dream Hotel Group encompasses three business lines: Proprietary Brands, Hotel Management and Dining & Nightlife.

“We are pleased to welcome Jason Wischhoff to our team,” said Jay Stein, Chief Executive Officer, Dream Hotel Group.  “With his vast knowledge of these markets, Jason is an ideal fit for the role of VP Development as we bring our hotel brands to new and emerging markets abroad.”

Earlier this year, Dream Hotel Group announced $1.5 billion in new hotel development for the Dream Hotels brand, including Doha in Qatar, the company’s first foray into the Middle East, and five other U.S. locations, all with independent hotel development partners. Future U.S. locations include Nashville, Dallas, Palm Springs, and two additional New York properties in Times Square and Long Island City.

The news follows that of the David Rockwell-designed Dream Hollywood slated to open in January 2017, and the first location of Dream Hotel Group’s Unscripted brand, set to open in Durham, North Carolina in May 2017. Located in the heart of downtown Durham, the 74-room property will breathe new life into the old Jack Tar Motor Lodge, a mid-century design icon reimagined.

“Now that we have established flagship hotels in New York, Miami, Bangkok, Phuket and soon-to-be Los Angeles and Durham, we’re excited to have Jason on board to help bring our brands across the pond and establish hotels in other major key cities across Europe and Africa, specifically London and Paris,” added David Kuperberg, Chief Development Officer, Dream Hotel Group.

Wischhoff joins Dream Hotel Group from Accorhotels, where he served as VP of Development, UK & Ireland for four years, and Wyndham Hotel Group, where he spent five years as a Senior Development Manager for the UK, Spain and Portugal markets.

Wischhoff began his passion for selling franchise and management with IBS, a management consultancy practice where he was responsible for driving the growth for master license opportunities in the UK advising CEO’s and MD’s. On building his profile from ground up, he went on to land banking specific sites for high net worth clients in commercial and residential developments in Russia, Brazil, Morocco and UK. He utilized this experience as an invaluable resource in making the key transition from business to hotel development.

Jason Wischhoff graduated with honors from London University with a Bachelors in Marketing & Management. He currently resides in London with his wife and three children.
