Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced it has selected Anne-Marie Law as the company’s chief human resources officer. Law will assume the role on October 3 and report to Mark Hoplamazian, president and chief executive officer.

“Anne-Marie shares our passion for putting people first, truly exemplifying what the ‘heart’ of Hyatt is all about,” said Hoplamazian. “Throughout her career, she has consistently implemented thoughtful programs that sparked positive cultural change and drove improved performance. We believe Anne-Marie will be instrumental in continuing to evolve our culture and propel our business to even greater growth.”

Law joins Hyatt from Baxalta Corporation, where she served as global head of human resources. In her previous role, Law was responsible for the company’s organizational design, implementation and governance model following the spinoff from Baxter International and the Shire acquisition and integration. Her more than 25-year career in human resources also includes leadership positions with McKesson and Intel.

“I was drawn to Hyatt’s purpose-driven approach and the commitment to defining decisions and actions based on empathy,” said Law. “Hyatt is globally recognized for its commitment to its people, and I look forward to working for and supporting the continued growth of Hyatt’s 100,000 colleagues around the world.”
