Vinnie Cicerale, a long-time hospitality veteran, has returned “home” to a hotel where he’s previously served as operations manager and director of sales and marketing.
Cicerale has been named the new general manager of Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Cranford, managed by Dimension Development. He was the senior sales manager at The Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ prior to arriving at Homewood Suites.
All of Cicerale’s hospitality experience has been in New Jersey, with a start at the 108 all-suite property that he is now in charge of. He served as operations manager at Homewood Suites before moving to the Aloft hotel in Mount Laurel as assistant general manager. Holiday Inn then tapped him for a corporate sales manager position based in the Somerset market. Cicerale moved to Ocean Place Resort & Spa in July 2011 as a group sales manager before returning to Homewood Suites for his second stint.
“‘Friendship and progress’ is the motto of Cranford, so I’m looking forward to making and meeting lots of new friends who stay here,” Cicerale said. “The progress this hotel has made in the last year with the completion of a major renovation shows Hilton’s commitment to offering travelers a home-like atmosphere for when they are away from their homes for extended business stays. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to take this property to the next level through 2016 and beyond.”
The Cranford hotel near Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is especially attractive to business professionals visiting the corporate offices of L’Oreal, Merck and The Newark Group, which are all nearby. Vacationers also will appreciate the hotel’s complimentary shuttle to a nearby train station that offers direct transit to New York City and Madison Square Garden, just 17 miles away. Comfortable accommodations provide modern amenities and plenty of space to spread out to be as productive or relaxed as guests desire.
In his spare time, Cicerale said he enjoys playing middle infield for multiple slow-pitch softball teams.
