Ross Cooper appointed new General Manager of the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills

Ross CooperAndaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills has announced the appointment of Ross Cooper as General Manager.

Ross joined Hyatt International upon receiving his degree in Hospitality Management from Auckland University of Technology in 1997. He was selected to be a Corporate Trainee at Grand Hyatt Melbourne in 1998 and continued on to become Assistant Manager at the hotel’s radii restaurant & bar, and later as the Assistant Banquet Manager.

Ross then moved to Hong Kong to become Catering Manager at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong as well as holding numerous other positions in the food & beverage banquet department. He then moved to Tokyo, Japan, as Executive Assistant Manager of Food & Beverage at Grand Hyatt Tokyo in 2008 where he helped oversee the hotel’s ten restaurants, bars and events. In 2011, he was appointed Hotel Manager of Grand Hyatt Shenzhen and most recently, he was General Manager at Park Hyatt Busan, a position he has held since 2014.

With extensive years of experience with Hyatt International and working in Japan, Ross joins Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills during this pivotal phase, bringing his passion to drive the brand forward: “I hope to exemplify Andaz’s brand concepts, INDIGENOUS, INSPIRING, UNSCRIPTED, through the personalities of the team to further strengthen its brand value.”

With the appointment of Ross Cooper, Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills bids farewell to Arnaud de Saint-Exupery who has been General Manager since the hotel’s opening in June 2014. Arnaud has been appointed Hyatt Area Vice President of United Kingdom & Ireland, as well as General Manager of Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, following the successful launch of Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills.
