Philippe Bés appointed Director of Sala Baï School

Philippe BesSala Baï School will soon have a new Director. Following his MBA graduation from Cornell University (European Campus), Philippe Bés started his career with the Accor Hotel group in France and the UK.

He then held different senior executive positions at the Louvre Hotels group, Häagen-Dazs and Dunkin’ Donuts successively. In the early 2000’s, he switched to the educational field as VP Europe for Wall Street English and Director at Speak-Up Turkey.

Thanks to a broad international experience in both the hospitality and education sectors, Philippe Bés is now undertaking a new challenge, managing the Sala Baï Hotel School in Siem Reap, Cambodia, from July 1st, following Claude Colombié who served the program four years.

Sala Baï School is a development program, created by the French NGO Agir pour le Cambodge, with the mission to fight poverty and human trafficking through vocational training in hospitality with a priority given to girls (70%). Within a year, 108 students are trained and placed in the industry, enabling them to achieve economic independence and improving the living conditions of their families. www.salabai.com
