Joseph Grossi appointed Hilton Chicago’s Director of Events and Catering

Joseph GrossiHilton Chicago is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph Grossi as director of events and catering. In his new role, Grossi will oversee all event service activities such as overseeing meetings and convention service staff, forecasting and monitoring group activity, managing team and individual goals and revenue tracking among other functions.

“With more than 30 years of industry experience, I’m confident that Grossi will further elevate our events services,” said John Wells, general manager, Hilton Chicago. “With a longstanding history of excellent leadership and proven track record of success, he is a strategic addition to our team and will excel in his new role.”

Most recently, Grossi served 20 years as the director of events and catering at the Hilton Minneapolis. Prior experience includes serving as associate convention services director at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, director of food and beverage at the Sheraton Universal Hotel and the director of restaurants at the Sheraton Grande Hotel in Los Angeles.

Grossi is a three-time recipient of the leadership award at the Hilton Minneapolis and played an integral role in securing the hotel’s recognition as the Best of Minnesota Meetings and Events Award seven consecutive years. He was also recognized as manager of the year at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis.
