Caroline MacDonald appointed Rosewood Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Americas and Europe

Rosewood Hotel Group has appointed Caroline MacDonald as vice president of sales and marketing, Americas and Europe. In this role, MacDonald will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives within Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, including the management and supervision of Rosewood’s five regional sales offices, and the properties’ directors of sales and marketing.

MacDonald boasts more than 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Prior to Rosewood, she spent fifteen years with Auberge Resorts. Most recently, she held the position of chief marketing officer for two years, where she was responsible for all domestic and international sales, as well as marketing and public relations efforts. Previously, she served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for thirteen years.

MacDonald first launched her career in hospitality at the DoubleTree in Monterey, California in 1990. She then joined Carefree Resorts, where she served as director of sales and marketing for seven years before joining the Pinehurst Company as vice president of sales and marketing.

MacDonald is a graduate of Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business where she received her master’s degree in Business Administration. In her free time, MacDonald serves on the Board of Chrysalis, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a pathway to self-sufficiency for homeless and low-income individuals. She was recently recognized as one of Los Angeles’s Woman of Influence by American City Business Journals and Bizwomen for 2016.
