Matt Kemp takes over as Executive Chef at Q Station Sydney Harbour

Q Station Sydney Harbour National Park Manly has announced the appointment of Matt Kemp as the new Executive Chef, overseeing all F&B offerings across the property including Boilerhouse Restaurant & Bar from 1 March 2016.

One of Australia’s most well-respected and recognised chefs, Matt Kemp is no stranger to Q Station having been the Ambassador Chef for Boilerhouse Restaurant since March 2014.

Of this new role, Matt said, “I am extremely pleased to join the Q Station team as the Executive Chef and take up this new challenge to implement fantastic new concepts and ideas for all the F&B offerings.”

“I look forward to sink my teeth into this new role. It will allow me to further implement my philosophy of fresh, seasonal and quality food, into the incredible historical surroundings of Q Station for a unique dining experience. Whether as a dining guest, a conference & event attendee or as part of a wedding celebration, there is something for everyone.”

“Matt’s role as Ambassador Chef has seen him influence the culinary concept in Boilerhouse Restaurant greatly, with several successful special seasonal events helmed over the past year.  For him to join the team on a permanent basis shows his belief in Boilerhouse Restaurant to be a culinary high-point on both sides of the bridge.”

Matt’s most recent role up till this month was heading the highly popular Charing Cross Hotel Dining Room in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Formerly of Randwick’s Restaurant Balzac and the hatted Banc Restaurant, amongst many other highly-regarded restaurants, he has worked alongside some of the best in the business.

Following this appointment, a revamp of all F&B offerings including dining at Boilerhouse Restaurant, Conferencing & Events as well as Weddings, will be rolled out over 2016.
