Provenance Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Ousmane Diop as general manager of Hotel Preston in Nashville. Diop brings a decade of hospitality industry expertise to his new role at Music City’s delightfully uncommon, fun-loving lifestyle hotel.
“Ousmane possesses a wealth of experience and has proven his vision, dedication and readiness during his tenure at the Roosevelt Hotel in Seattle – now is the perfect time for him to move to Nashville and take the reins at Hotel Preston,” said Bashar Wali, President of Provenance Hotels. “The growth and evolution of Ousmane’s role in our company is the perfect example of the way we aim to identify, retain and promote true hospitality industry stars – I am confident he will lead Hotel Preston to new heights.”
A graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, Diop was most recently hotel manager at the Roosevelt Hotel, a role he was promoted to following the property’s acquisition by Provenance Hotels. Prior to joining the company, he served as assistant general manager at Semiahmoo Resort, an island property off the coast of Washington, and as rooms director at Cedarbrook Lodge in the Seattle area.
At Hotel Preston, Diop will oversee a team that caters to groups, vacationers and business travelers alike with an only-in-Music City combination of creativity and sass. The property is home to an eclectic collection of original art, 7,408 sq. ft. of meeting space, live music most nights at the Pink Slip and breakfast, lunch and dinner at Café Isabella. Hotel Preston is located near the Nashville airport, between downtown Nashville and Opryland. Guests of the hotel enjoy charmingly quirky amenities – from pet fish and lava lamps – as well as complimentary airport shuttle service, WiFi and parking during their stay.
