Mehdi Hanayen named new Executive Assistant Manager at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche

Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche hotel has appointed Mehdi Hanayen as new Executive Assistant Manager.

In his new role, Mr Hanayen will be responsible for the hotel operations, namely rooms department (front office, housekeeping), F&B (kitchen/ service/ hygiene), events, spa, security and engineering departments. Mehdi Hanayen will assist the general manager as well as department heads in their duties to maintain Sofitel’s brand standards as well as monitor service quality and guests satisfaction.

Before the appointment as EAM, Mehdi worked as director of food & beverage and was a part of hotel’s pre-opening team in 2011. His career at Sofitel started in 2008 at Sofitel El Gezirah (Cairo, Egypt). He participated in various hotel opening task forces at  Sofitel Zallaq Thallassa Sea and Spa (Zallaq, Bahrain) and Sofitel The Palm (Dubai, UAE). He began his hotelier career at Mariott (Beijing, China) and SBM (Monte-Carlo, Monaco).

Mehdi holds Master Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University (2012) and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hospitality, Finance and Revenue Management from Glion Institute of Higher Education (2008).
