“I’ve long desired to work in Thailand and I couldn’t have asked for a better entry into this fascinating country than Phuket and Indigo Pearl,” Mr Jordaan said. “It’s a unique resort, with its tin mining heritage and of course the inimitable Bill Bensley touch everywhere you look.

“I look forward to getting to know the team and building on the great work that has made Indigo Pearl the preferred five star experience on the island’s quieter northern side. I have learned that above all it is a unique and personalised guest experience that sets resorts apart in the luxury segment and it is here where we will be working to bring out the true character of the property and the destination.”

A hospitality all-rounder who has had hands-on experience in rooms, food and beverage, finance, sales and marketing, Mr Jordaan’s other positions include General Manager postings at the following luxury properties: Elewana Afrika – Zanzibar and the Serengeti, Tanzania and Point Grace, Turks and Caicos Islands, the West Indies, Aman Resorts, India & Sri Lanka.
