Starwood’s Twin City sister properties, W Minneapolis – The Foshay and Le Méridien Chambers Minneapolis are pleased to announce the recent appointment of David Cronin as complex General Manager of both historic hotels. 

With more than 20 years of industry experience and a detail-oriented, results-driven work ethic, Cronin brings creativity, innovative thinking and a guest-centric attitude to the historic landmark Minneapolis properties, where his responsibilities include maintain premier positioning of hotels, achieving financial results, and ensuring a consistently positive guest experience.

Having previously worked at top Marriott resorts across the United States, Cronin most recently served as the General Manager of Miami’s Stanton South Beach, where he led a $20 million renovation and rebranding project that helped position the beachfront resort as a can’t-miss South Beach staple.

Cronin’s outgoing personality, charisma and unrelenting perseverance combined with his expertise in hospitality, food & beverage operations, catering sales, and events management, have garnered a myriad of prestigious awards and nationally recognized honors. In 2010, Cronin received the Marriott General Manager Mustang Award for outstanding business leadership during his time as General Manager of the Houston Marriott Westloop by the Galleria. He also helped the property team earn Marriott’s Most Improved Hotel in the Americas Award during his two-year tenure there.

Prior to living in Houston, Cronin spent four years in Florida as Food & Beverage Director of Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa, honing his skills in food & beverage operations, inventory management, and quality control. Cronin’s wealth of event management experience stems from positions held at Marriott hotels and resorts from San Antonio to Salt Lake City to Chicago, where he received an award for Regional & Global Director of Event Management of the Year.
