The Nam Hai has announced the promotion of Florian Leven from executive assistant manager to resident manager.
Since joining the resort in May 2014, the 17-year veteran of the international hospitality industry has implemented effective tools for performance and training and played a key role in maintaining quality control and consistency in day-to-day operations.
“Florian has proven to be a top hotelier, superb leader and essential to our team,” said Anthony Gill, The Nam Hai’s general manager. “His promotion is very well-deserved.”
Leven came to The Nam Hai after a six-year stint in Hawaii, where he served in a variety of roles at Mauni Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows and then at Kahala Hotel & Resort.
Leven’s hospitality career dates to 1998, when the German broke into the industry as an apprentice for two years at the Elysee Hotel in Hamburg.
He went on to work for the Zurich Marriott Hotel and Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in Switzerland before earning his Masters in Hospitality & Tourism from Johnson & Wales University in the U.S. Leven also holds a certificate in Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University.
