Spencer Lane joins JW Marriott Houston Downtown as Director of Food & Beverage

JW Marriott Houston Downtown recently announced the appointment of Spencer Lane as director of food and beverage for the luxury hotel. Lane has more than 15 years of food and beverage management experience and most recently served as a food and beverage director at Hotel ZaZa in Houston. In his new role, he will be responsible for ensuring flawless execution across all food and beverage outlets.

“Spencer brings a wealth of international restaurant and hotel experience and a passion to deliver JW Marriott’s brand promise of quiet luxury, crafted experience and intuitive service, making JW Marriott Houston Downtown a premier culinary destination for visitors and Houstonians alike,” said Natalie Wiseman, JW Marriott Houston Downtown director of sales and marketing.

Lane received a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is also a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers. A native of Laguna Beach, California, he has worked at such top luxury resorts and hotels as Relais & Chateaux’s Castle Hill Inn in Newport, Rhode Island; Relais & Chateaux’s Blantyre in The Berkshires, Massachusetts; Kauri Cliffs in New Zealand and most recently at Hotel ZaZa in Houston.
