Serge Ethuin to join Hotel Metropole Monte-Carol as new General Manager

Serge EthuinSerge Ethuin will join The Hotel Metropole Monte- Carlo on December 15 as General Manager, succeeding Pierre Ferchaud.

Over the past year, Pierre Ferchaud brought to the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo his expertise of the luxury hotel sector: his management style combining professionalism, high standards in    quality, employee empowering measures, attention to detail and listening skills . He allowed the establishment to identify the Director who would ensure the future of the iconic hotel.

Graduating in 1982 from the Ecole Hôtelière in Strasbourg, Serge Ethuin began his career in 1983 working for the Hilton Group as a receptionist at Hilton Paris, as well as in Strasbourg and Orly.

He quickly evolved within the same group as front desk manager, then business development manager, assuming functional as well as operational responsibilities.

In 1997, he was entrusted with the general management of the Hilton Madagascar and successively Hilton Rome Airport and Hilton Arc de Triomphe.

In 2008 he moved to head the legendary Roman establishment: Il Rome Cavalieri, which became the first European hotel to integrate the prestigious Waldorf-Astoria Collection.

During the next six years, Serge Ethuin inspired a new dynamic through the three Michelin Star restaurant La Pergola, the Grand Spa Club, the unique Art collection. He also significantly expanded all emerging markets for the hotel. In 2011, he was awarded “Best General Manager” by Waldorf Astoria Worldwide.

After 30 years within the Hilton Group, Serge Ethuin then took the reins of the Royal Monceau Raffles Paris, confirming the Palace’s position in the Parisian and international hotel scene.

His accession as General Manager of the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo is now a new challenge ahead for this accomplished professional.
