Marsa Malaz Kempinski appoints two new Directors

Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha welcomes two new members to its senior management team: Christian Huschka, Director of Sales & Marketing and Carlos Díaz, Director of Human Resources.

Both Directors come from a strong heritage in the hospitality industry and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the existing Management team at the new luxury resort on The Pearl. Both also report to Wissam Suleiman, General Manager.

Huschka has played an integral strategic and revenue increasing role for over a decade within a number of Kempinski properties, most recently at Hôtel des Mille Collines where he facilitated the successful takeover of ‘Hotel Rwanda’. With more than 18 years of commercial and operational experience for leading luxury hotel groups in the Sales & Marketing sector, he also brings international experience from Europe, the USA, Middle East and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Carlos Díaz

Díaz has over ten years of hospitality and recruitment agency experience and has led multi-market teams for global hospitality brands including Kempinski, Sheraton and Hilton, as well as independent properties. He has a strong track record of creating bespoke teams for new hotels along with activating all aspects of HR practices and programmes. Diaz will act as a key motivator in achieving business objectives and retaining key talent. He joins the team from Grand Hotel Djibloho Kempinski, where he was also leading the human resources department.
