Speaking about the house reef, Amy says, “Guests should expect to see a diverse range of fish species, ranging from schooling groups of damsel fish, butterfly fish, unicorn fish, and surgeon fish to parrotfish, triggerfish and anemone fish. We are also lucky to have a few resident Black tip reef sharks, Hawksbill turtles and Spotted Eagle rays.”
Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa was awarded the title of ‘Maldives’ Leading Green Resort’ for the second year in a row, as well as the ‘Indian Ocean’s Leading Green Resort’ in the 2015 World Travel Awards™. In order to maintain the resort’s commitment to the environment, Amy’s role as EarthCheck Coordinator will include monitoring the house reef, beach erosion and fish diversity, as well as checking that the EarthCheck Program is being followed.
