The Steigenberger Business Hotels Division will be headed up by Jürgen von Massow (53) effective from 1 August 2015.
As a result of its new company organisation, Steigenberger Hotels AG has allocated operational responsibility across four main business divisions. These are Steigenberger Business Hotels, Steigenberger Resort Hotels, InterCityHotel and Jaz in the City.
Jürgen von Massow’s professional experience has included stints as General Manager at various hotels in the Hyatt chain. His most recent position was Vice President of Operations at Dorint. As Vice President of Steigenberger Business Hotels, he will now be reporting directly to CEO Puneet Chhatwal.
In his new role, his main focuses will be on the securing and further development of operational standards and on coordinating the future launches of Steigenberger Business Hotels. He will also be in charge of increasing profitability, including within the existing portfolio of hotels.
Denis Hüttig will continue to be in charge of the Business Division of Steigenberger Resort Hotels, whilst Joachim Marusczyk will also remain at the helm of InterCityHotels. Joost van Beek, General Manager of the first Jaz Hotel in Amsterdam, which is scheduled to open before the end of the year, will be responsible for the future Jaz in the City Division.
“This business division is highly significant within the Steigenberger Group, and Jürgen von Massow is a hotelier who offers us an experienced pair of hands,” said Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels AG. “He will bring a wealth of expertise to bear in driving forward further development.”
