The Stones Hotel-Legian, Bali from Marriott Autograph Collection is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Acker as Director of Food and Beverage effective December 2014.
Coming from the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square, Seoul, Christian is more than delighted to cross off one of the thing he has on his bucket list: #7. Working and living in Bali. And better yet, for a Marriott International property; The Stones. The island’s magical culture, its people, the magnificent landscape and the rapid growth of food and hotel business are some of the many reasons of his excitement.
Born in Detmold-Germany, Christian set his foot firstly in Asia in 2006 when he joined Four Seasons Maldives’ Island Explorer. After Maldives, the non-settler moved back to city life and worked for the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. He then tried betting his luck in MGM Casinos Macau and was responsible for its Food & Beverage outlets.
Proving he acclaimed success and hit the jackpot in Macau, he moved to Vietnam as Food & Beverage Manager at The Nam Hai Resort, a GHM Hotel. Korea was his next big break as he took part as the opening team of the JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul, managing the Food and Beverage division.
“We are delighted to welcome Christian as our Director of Food and Beverage to The Stones Hotel. We believe that he will bring his much rewarded experience and take the food and beverage experience to an even higher level.” said Peter Brampton, General Manager of the Stones Hotel-Legian, Bali.
A world traveler and a culinary enthusiast, Christian is thrilled to continue his journey with the big family of Marriott International by being the newest addition to The Stone’s dynamic team.
Christian is fully in charge for the hotels’ full Food and Beverage service including the hotel’s three gemstone restaurants; Stones Kitchen, The Long Rice Table and Big Fish Bar& Grill, and the extensive banquet and event operations.
