Carlson Rezidor opens the Park Inn by Radisson Libreville, Gabon

2014-12-03-LibrevilleCarlson Rezidor has opened the first Park Inn by Radisson hotel in Gabon – the Park Inn by Radisson Libreville. The contemporary and  colourful mid-market hotel enjoys a location just 2 km away from  airport and city centre, and features 140 bright rooms with views of  the Atlantic or Libreville City.

“We are delighted to open Park Inn by Radisson  Libreville after a complete renovation of a 40-year old landmark hotel. We have  created the most modern hotel in Libreville, and will delight our guests with  our Yes I Can! spirit and service”,  said Hans-Peter Duerr, General Manager of the hotel.

The opening marks a further milestone for Carlson Rezidor in Africa, the group’s most important growth market. Carlson Rezidor operates and  develops more than 50 hotels with 11,500+ rooms on the continent, and holds the  largest pipeline of hotels and rooms under development in Africa.

Besides 140 stylish guest rooms, the Park Inn by Radisson Libreville offers multiple  dining options: La Palette restaurant has a sumptuous breakfast buffet each morning; Restaurant Olatano  serves lavish lunch and dinner buffets, tastefully blending the best of  international and local cuisine; and Bar Horizon, located on the eighth floor  of the adjacent Okoume Palace Hotel, is the best place for cocktails, beers,  wines and snacks.

With the Okoume Palace hotel, the Park Inn by Radisson also shares a  business centre. Facilities include four meeting & event spaces for ten to 80 delegates and a ballroom for up to 700 guests. After a day of meetings or sightseeing, the hotel pool or beautiful local beach provide optimal relaxation.

Libreville is Gabon’s capital city and flagship destination. Gabon itself  belongs to West Africa’s most stable countries, rich with oil and minerals as  well as precious woods. Despite its considerable size (slightly larger than the  UK), it has a small population of only 1.5 million inhabitants, half of them in  the capital Libreville.
