Nominations are requested for the seventh annual IHIF Young Leader Award, presented by the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and the International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF).
Andrea Belfanti, ISHC executive director, said the organization “is proud to once again partner with IHIF in recognizing a young leader in the hospitality industry. The past nominees and winners represent the very best and brightest in the industry, and we are looking forward to another year of inspiring nominations and an outstanding winner in 2015.”
Tess Pearson, event director for Questex LLC, which co-produces IHIF, said, “It is incredibly rewarding to be able to champion the talent of the young members of the hospitality industry. We remain committed to recognising and nurturing the next generation of leaders”.
Recipient of the 2014 award, Patricia Gallardo, director of corporate social responsibility and sustainability for Shangri-La International Hotel Management Ltd., said she was “truly humbled to receive the award, which for me affirms that hospitality stands to win if it balances people, planet and profit.”
“I applaud the IHIF for being bold and recognising leadership beyond traditional hoteliers,” she said. “I would like to see more nominations from under-represented countries and innovative and disruptive leadership and look forward to being inspired by individuals who can bring the industry forward.”
