Mike Giamundo new GM at Denver Marriott Tech Center

Mike GiamundoThe Denver Marriott Tech Center has appointed a 30-year hospitality veteran to serve as its general manager. Mike Giamundo brings his diverse knowledge and experience with Marriott brands to one of the premier Denver Tech Center hotels. 

“I am very excited to return to Denver and am looking forward to joining the outstanding team at the Denver Marriott Tech Center,” Giamundo said.  

Returning to the state where his hospitality career began, Giamundo first served as director of services for The Lodge at Vail in Colorado. He then joined the Residence Inn by Marriott team in 1984 as general manager and then regional manager.

Giamundo held the title of director of operations at Denver Marriott Southeast in 1997 and was soon promoted to general manager of Denver Marriott West. Over the next 10 years, Giamundo held general manager positions at Denver Marriott Southeast and JW Marriott New Orleans.

In 2007, Giamundo was promoted to general manager at JW Marriott Buckhead. His leadership and commitment earned him the General Manager of the Year Award from the Georgia Hotel Lodging Association.

Giamundo continues to succeed in his career and has remained an active member of the community, serving on committees and with organizations including Buckhead Hotel Council, Georgia Hotel Lodging Association, Marriott Business Councils, Marriott GM Advisory Board, New Orleans Lodging Association and CVB, Denver Metro Hotel Association and Golden Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Council.
