Meredith Macfarlane named GM of Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

Meredith MacfarlaneFour Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe announces the appointment of new General Manager Meredith Macfarlane, replacing Cindy Racco.  Having opened Four Seasons in Santa Fe in 2012, Racco is transferring to Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka?upulehu in Hawaii.

“It’s with mixed feelings I announce my next career move, to Four Seasons Resort Hualalai,” comments Racco. “I am excited about this new opportunity, but sad to be leaving such wonderful friends and colleagues in Santa Fe. In May 2012, I arrived in Santa Fe to help open the new Four Seasons on the site of the historic Rancho Encantado. As I reflect on my two-and-a-half years here, I feel so fortunate to have been welcomed warmly into the community and to have gained so many cherished friends.”

After holding the position of Hotel Manager at one of the most glamorous properties of Four Seasons, Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills, Meredith Macfarlane is thrilled to venture to the “Land of Enchantment,” New Mexico.  “Steeped in history, Santa Fe intrigues me with its blend of Native American and Spanish cultures,” she says. “I am excited to experience all that northern New Mexico has to offer, from hiking to skiing and the arts.”

A Four Seasons employee since 2007, Macfarlane was Director of Rooms, then Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto before her appointment at Beverly Wilshire. A native of Toronto, Canada, she is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. After studying history and political science, Macfarlane was drawn to hotel work by the promise of autonomy and the opportunity to provide intuitive service to guests that exceeds their expectations.
