Dusit signs on luxury golf and spa resort in Australia

Senior Executives of Dusit International joined representatives of the Springfield Land Corporation, World Group UK and Maxsen Capital Hong Kong at the Brookwater Golf Club in Queensland yesterday to announce the launch of the Dusit Thani Brookwater Golf & Spa Resort at First Residence.

The resort, the first on Australian soil for the legendary Thai hospitality brand, will in its first phase offer 168 luxury resort apartments with private plunge pools overlooking the Greg Norman-designed Brookwater Golf Course, rated number 1 in Queensland.

Also included in the first phase of the resort will be a Recreation Club with beach-style lagoon pools, lap pools, water slides, a gymnasium, a bridal centre and a wedding chapel; a Resort Clubhouse boasting 4 signature restaurants, a lobby lounge, 24-hour concierge services, an executive club, the brand’s own Devarana Spa, al fresco restaurants and food markets, and extensive meetings and events facilities. Investment in this first phase of the project is approximately AUD 110m.

Upon full completion, the innovative resort will feature a total of 520 luxury resort apartments, a tennis stadium equipped to host international tour events, a water park, a retail emporium, an aquatic centre designed to Commonwealth Games standards, and a Convention Centre set to host conferences, exhibitions and events of all sizes, amounting to a total investment in excess of AUD 550m.

The development is in Springfield, located within 20 minutes of Brisbane’s central business district and just 30 minutes from the Gold Coast, Australia’s premier tourist destination. Additionally, two international airports are within easy reach of the area.
