The Autograph Collection to add 11 new hotels by year-end

The Ambassador Collection _1The Autograph Collection, an exclusive ensemble of independent hotels, has announced that it expects to add eleven new hotels to its growing portfolio by year-end.  Each of the additions has been selected for its unique individual personality and amenities.

The new travel experiences will include the world famous Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas, Triada Palm Springs (Palm Springs, CA), Metropolitan at the 9 Cleveland (OH), four hotels from The Ambassador Collection including locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kansas City, Missouri; Wichita, Kansas; and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and four Washington state based hotels who form part of The Davenport Hotel Collection.

Since its initial launch in 2010, the portfolio has proven to be a highly successful due to its discerning selection process and unique ability to create memories through enriching travel experiences. Exactly like nothing else, the inspiration behind Autograph Collection is to create an evolving ensemble of strikingly independent four and five star hotels. The evolving group of passionately independent hotel experiences range from a 15-room boutique hunting lodge in the mountains of Colorado to a 19th century neoclassical palace in the majestic city of Prague. Each hotel is thoughtfully chosen for its quality, originality, bold character and capacity to offer today’s modern traveler a range of unique experiences suited to their individual sense of style and adventure.

This season, the Autograph Collection proudly welcomes the following experiences to the portfolio:

Atlantis, Paradise Island – Bahamas

Atlantis is a unique, ocean-themed destination offering a variety of guest accommodations; 40 restaurants, bars and lounges to satisfy any palate; the largest and most exciting casino in The Bahamas; extensive meeting facilities; and a marina capable of handling yachts of any size, all built around a 141-acre waterscape comprised of fresh and saltwater lagoons, pools and habitats. Atlantis rises magically from the turquoise lagoons and blue Atlantic of The Bahamas, and is known worldwide as a resort destination that has truly redefined entertainment and gaming in the tropics. Atlantis marks the collection’s first member resort in The Bahamas and will be the largest hotel in the portfolio.

Metropolitan at the 9 Cleveland – Ohio

The former AmeriTrust tower and historic Cleveland Trust Rotunda have been transformed into The 9’s complex, which now houses the new Metropolitan Hotel and concierge living apartments for local residents. The Metropolitan Hotel is located inside The 9 and features 156 boldly designed rooms and suites. Adega, the hotel’s restaurant features a15-foot wine vault, chef’s table and the largest outdoor dining patio in the city. During the week, The 9’s historic bank vaults are used as unique meeting rooms. Located in the basement of the rotunda, there are four historic bank vaults. Inside the extremely large, circular steel-and-glass doors, there are safety deposit rooms that formally belonged to famous Clevelanders. The historic underground vault space has been transformed into the probation-era cocktail bar, Vault, where locals and guests can enjoy a one-of-a-kind cocktail experience. Completely separated from Vault, there is an exclusive speakeasy where travelers can visit by exclusive invitation only. Guests looking for a drink with a view can visit Azure, 150 feet above the street and the largest rooftop bar and sundeck in the city.

Triada Palm Springs – California

Triada Palm Springs is an elegant Spanish hacienda featuring 56 unique guest rooms in the prestigious Movie Colony of Downtown Palm Springs. Offering majestic views of the San Jacinto Mountains, guests will be inspired mind, body and soul. With the meaning, “three interrelated parts” in Spanish, Triada is designed to reflect three distinct wings of the hotel where every corner reveals a new discovery, every pathway becomes an exploration and every detail provides a new source of inspiration.

The Ambassador Collection – Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas

The Ambassador Hotel Collection is known for its extensive restoration of historic buildings to their original grandeur while at the same time creating upscale luxury boutique hotel experiences. This season, four Ambassador Collection hotels will join the collection — in Kansas City, Mo., Wichita, Kan., Tulsa, Okla and Oklahoma City, Okla. Each of the acclaimed hotels represents a balance of historic splendor and modern comfort. The Ambassador Hotel Collection appeals to discerning travelers who seek the very best in contemporary sophistication, refined hospitality and a splash of historic elegance.

The Davenport Hotel Collection – Washington State

The Davenport Hotel Collection includes the landmark Davenport Hotel which features architecture and history dating back to 1914, and a reputation as the region’s grandest hotel. The nearby Davenport Tower Hotel and Hotel Lusso help round out the new additions to the portfolio, representing an elegant union of new and historic hotels located right in the heart of downtown Spokane, Washington. With a fourth location set to open in 2015 the Grand Hotel Spokane, located and connected to the Spokane Convention Center, the Davenport Hotel Collection represents a broad spectrum of hotel experiences ranging from classic to contemporary, historic to modern.
