Milton Sgarbi new GM at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort & Residences

MiltonSgarbi_1The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort has appointed Milton Sgarbi as General Manager for the oceanfront resort. Sgarbi has over 20 years of experience helming some of the world’s most coveted resorts across three different continents.

As General Manager, Sgarbi is in charge of operating the hotel and residences for the AAA Five Diamond Resort. He will manage all facets of the property, from operational duties to finance.

Sgarbi joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 2000, in Italy, as the General Manager for the Hotel Romazzino, a Luxury Collection Resort. His next assignment took him to French Polynesia, as the opening General Manager for The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort, obtaining the recognition of Best Resort in The World by Travel Weekly and Best Hotel in The South Pacific by Virtuoso already on the first year of operation. Most recently, he held the position of opening General Manager for The St. Regis Princeville Resort, introducing the unparalleled level of services to the first property of the St. Regis brand in Hawaii.

Milton earned a degree from University of Caxias do Sul, Superior Hotel School, Brasil, and post-graduate certificate from The Hague Hotel School, Hague, Holland. Sgarbi is fluent in Italian, Portuguese, English and French.
