Holger Jackisch (49) is now directing operations in the newly renovated kitchens at the Steigenberger Parkhotel on Königsallee in Düsseldorf having replaced Michael Görres (63) as Head Chef. As ever, the secret of culinary success lies in combining tried and tested tradition with a breath of new and fresh air.
After 48 years of service, including 35 in the Steigenberger Group and 21 years at the Steigenberger Parkhotel on Königsallee in Düsseldorf, Michael Görres has taken his well-deserved retirement. He can now devote himself to the more relaxing aspects of life whilst looking back on an illustrious career that has contained such highlights as the achievement of a Michelin Star.
Mr. Görres’ successor is Holger Jackisch, a true cosmopolitan. Born in Kevelaer in North Rhine-Westphalia and brought up in Bavaria, 49-year old Mr. Jackisch is a citizen of the world who has worked in kitchens in Bahrain, Cairo, Dubai, London, Berlin and Doha and was most recently Head Chef at the Kempinski Hotel in Moscow. He has been involved in successful hotel launches for Kempinski and Ritz Carlton as well as already being a familiar figure within the Steigenberger Group following a stint in Frankfurt.
The guests of the Parkhotel can continue to expect the exquisite cuisine that befits such a flagship establishment as Holger Jackisch takes over the reins. Taking his inspiration from the kitchens of the world, Mr. Jackisch is also looking forward to serving up a new range of delicate culinary delights that should prove a real gourmet treat.
The new line-up in the hotel kitchens will also be maintaining the tried and tested traditions that visitors enjoy so much, such as atmospheric Advent and Christmas menus and a spectacular New Year event.
