IHG signs three to Holiday Inn brand family in Mexico

Holiday_Inn_Logo_1InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced three new properties for Mexico: two Holiday Inn hotels in of Puebla and Villahermosa; and one Holiday Inn Express hotel in Pachuca. These hotels are expected to open before 2016 year end and will add to IHG’s current pipeline of over 20 Holiday Inn brand family hotels for the country. They will be operated under a franchise agreement with an affiliate of IHG.

“We continue to be enthused about the great potential for IHG’s brands in Mexico,” said Joel Eisemann, chief development officer, the Americas, IHG. “These new hotels are being developed by terrific owners, further enhancing the outstanding reputation that IHG and our family of brands already have in Mexico.”

The Holiday Inn Express Pachuca hotel, expected to open by mid-2015, will be located a short distance from the modern Zona Plateada area – home to major attractions, the business and financial districts and the Tuzoforum Convention Center, which can hold up to 2,000 people. The hotel will have 108 guest rooms and amenities include an indoor swimming pool, two meeting rooms, fitness center, business center, and 226 parking spaces. Additionally, guests will enjoy the complimentary Desayuno Express bar featuring a full range of breakfast items, including a rotation of egg and meat selections, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juices, regional dishes, and coffee.

Currently under construction, the 100-room Holiday Inn Villahermosa hotel is located in the Tabasco Parque Logístico Industrial – the area’s premier industrial parkand in close proximity to businesses and corporate offices such as Groupe Danone and Tacker Solutions, among others. Expected to open before 2015 year end, the hotel is owned and managed by Hospitality Travel Services, SA de CV.

The Holiday Inn Puebla Centro Histórico hotel will be situated in the heart of Puebla’s historic downtown district. Expected to open by mid-2016, the location is ideal for both leisure and corporate travellers who will enjoy the many amenities including an exterior swimming pool, two meeting rooms, a fitness center, a business center, rooftop garden and a full-service restaurant and bar. The newly constructed 96-room property is owned by Turquesa de Puebla, S.A. de C.V., and managed by Latin America Hotel Group SC.

All three hotels are designed with the Holiday Inn brand family’s $1 billion global brand relaunch in mind; the largest project of its kind in hospitality history. The relaunch continues to drive increased quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The hotels feature a contemporary image with emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
