Supranational Hotels, one of the world’s largest hotel companies and provider of hotel distribution technologies, is actively targeting emerging markets to expand its current 700 strong portfolio of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels. The group is looking to build its portfolio of destinations within South America, India and Japan where business and leisure travel continues to grow.
In South America, seven hotels in Argentina, including the 4-star Lafayette Hotel in Buenos Aires, the 4-star Ducal Suites in Cordoba and the Don Luis Apart Hotel in Corrientes (pictured), have joined the Supranational Hotels portfolio this August.
Supranational has also commissioned the Win Corporation Ltd in Japan and AHS India (absolute hospitality services pvt ltd) to identify potential primary and secondary city destinations within Asia for Supranational, including Tokyo, Yokohama, New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore that will benefit the online travel community and recognise the geographical gaps in the brand’s worldwide distribution.
Cho Wong, Managing Director of Supranational Hotels comments, “Over the last year, we have seen a stable increase in new hotels joining us from across Europe. In the Win Corporation in Japan, and AHS India, we now have the local expertise of two leading hotel representation partners to help realise the potential for Supranational to reach new destinations in Asia. These agreements support us in meeting the needs of our travel buyers and to redress the balance of our geographical spread.”
In partnering with Supranational Hotels, each hotel will benefit from the brand’s network of clients and travel partners as well as hotel booking technologies including GDS, Central Reservation System (CRS) from Columbus NG and their all-new Internet Booking Engine (IBE), whilst retaining their brand identity and independence. Hoteliers can also take advantage of Supranational’s real time hotel data and fast RFP management services that will secure them access into coveted global corporate travel programmes.
