Mark Williams as New Group President at Vantage Hospitality

When Vantage Hospitality Group entered into an agreement to acquire the America’s Best Franchising brands (America’s Best Inns & Suites, Country Hearth Inns & Suites, Jameson Inns & Suites, Signature Inn, and 3 Palms Hotels & Resorts), one of the largest hotel companies in the world added nearly 20 percent more hotels and multiple brands overnight. To capitalize on this unprecedented growth, Vantage has tapped Mark Williams to serve as a new Group President and lead Vantage’s midscale to upscale brands.

“Mark has an exceptional record of development and understands how to help our members realize substantial ROI through revenue management, distribution, sales, marketing and continued education,” said Roger Bloss, founder, president and CEO of Vantage. “Vantage has always had the highest ratio of corporate service team support to members in the industry, and, with the addition of over 200 properties, we’ll be adding many new people and programs in coordination with Mark and the rest of the Vantage leadership team.”

Williams comes to Vantage with a wealth of hospitality industry experience and a proven track record of revenue generation, value creation, and innovative growth. Most recently, Williams was the Director of Business Development for G6 Hospitality, where he was responsible for the development in major markets of the Motel 6 and Studio 6 brands. Before that, he served 12 years as the Vice President of North American Development for Best Western International, where he oversaw brand development in the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands.

However, moving to Vantage is like coming full circle for Williams and Bloss, who worked together in development in the early ‘90’s at Knights Inn. “Roger and I go way back,” said Williams. “We’ve always enjoyed working together. He and I are on the same page when it comes to franchising and understanding the need to put the decision-making power back into the hands of hotel owners. I knew way back then that he was going to shake up the lodging industry. So when he called me and told me about the acquisition and his plans – I couldn’t wait to be a part of it.”
