Fabien Berteau new Head Pastry Chef at Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, the five-star luxury hotel located in the heart of the French capital, is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Head Pastry Chef, Fabien Berteau.

Born in the South of France, Fabien was brought up in the gastronomic world from a young age, and has since become an ambassador of French savoir-faire all around the world. After his professional culinary training, Fabien developed his skills by working with some of the world’s best chefs, including Philippe Chapon, Guy Savoy, and at world-renowned restaurants such as Fauchon and Ladurée in Paris, and le Chabichou in Courchevel, the French Alps.

In 2006, Fabien moved to Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme where he worked for two years, during which time the restaurant was awarded with a Michelin Star. Proud of his experience at the hotel, Fabien took the opportunity to export his skills around the world, helping to reopen Park Hyatt Sydney in Australia. He also assisted with the opening of Park Hyatt Chennai in India, before finally returning to Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme in 2014 as the hotel’s Head Pastry Chef.

From the kitchen of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme, Fabien recreates traditional recipes and surprises guests with unexpected delicacies, such as his signature cheesecakes. Creating four exquisite cheesecakes to mark the change in season, Fabien has taken on the challenge to make this simple but irresistible cake an unforgettable experience for guests to enjoy all year round, in the luxurious surroundings of Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme.
