Carl Haynes new Regional Director of Operations at HMC

Leo Spriggs, President and CEO of Hospitality Management Corporation (HMC), is pleased to announce the promotion of Carl Haynes as part of its growing corporate team.  Haynes will be responsible for overseeing HMC hotel projects in the South Texas Shale Oil Play areas.

His responsibilities will include working closely with ownership, managing directors, contractors and vendors through the building stage, then upon completion, direct management of hotel operations. He has had extensive experience in the hospitality industry managing properties from limited service to upscale resort hotels.

Since the beginning of his career, he has worked in numerous positions within the industry from service to General Manager. In 1988, he joined HMC as a Director of Rooms and since that time, has held General Manager positions at hotels from South Florida to Texas. He most recently held the position of General Manager of the Fredericksburg Inn & Suites in Fredericksburg, TX. 

Haynes’ primary responsibilities will be ensuring quality service delivery and maximizing revenues for each property and to develop relationships with key accounts and local leaders in each market. He will also be heading efforts to leverage HMC’s presence in the multiple oil & gas shale play markets in both the Eagle Ford and West Texas footprints to gain additional market share. HMC now has a total of nine hotels open in both the Eagle Ford and West Texas Shale Play areas with several more in development.
