White Lodging announces four new General Managers

White Lodging is pleased to announce the following individuals have been named general managers last quarter across the company.

Kristie Fererra was promoted to the general manager of the Residence Inn Louisville. Fererra began her hospitality career in 2005 at the SpringHill Suites Boulder Longmont as a night auditor. Following her stint at the SpringHill Suites Boulder Longmont, she then accepted a position at the Courtyard Boulder Louisville as front desk supervisor, followed by a position as assistant general manager, first at the Residence Inn Louisville in 2007 before returning to the Courtyard Boulder Louisville as assistant general manager in 2010. During Fererra’s tenure with White Lodging, she has been the recipient of six Excalibur Awards, was selected as the Above and Beyond Manager of the Year for Region 2 in 2011 and was awarded the honor of Select Service Operations Manager of the year in 2008. She is now an 8-year veteran of White Lodging and has most recently served as general manager at the SpringHill Suites Boulder Longmont, where she has held that position since 2012.

David Meisner joined White Lodging as the general manager of the Renaissance Ft. Lauderdale/Plantation. He comes to White Lodging with more than 15 years of hospitality experience. He started his career as a banquet manager at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego before becoming the restaurant manager of Lael’s Restaurant in the hotel and the general manager of the hotel’s Sally’s Restaurant. In 2007, he was named the director of restaurant operations for the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place and in 2008 became the assistant general manager of the Cincinnati Marriott North. 

As assistant general manager, Meisner’s hotel was the Marriott Hotel of Year.  He also has been the general manager of the Residence Inn Cincinnati Downtown. Most recently he was the general manger of the Cincinnati Marriott Northeast, which was awarded the Best Place to Work in Cincinnati for 2013.

Josh Brandon joined White Lodging as the general manager of the Courtyard/Springhill Suites Indianapolis Downtown. Brandon started his first Courtyard job in college as a front desk associate, has spent time in sales, event management, housekeeping and front desk.  Brandon’s first general manager job was at the Courtyard Phoenix Airport in which he was able to participate as one of the early adopter hotels for the Bistro.  He then went to a big box Residence Inn in Las Vegas as the general manager, and next moved to Oceanside to be the dual general manager of the Residence Inn and Courtyard.  Brandon was with Marriott for 16 years before joining White Lodging.  

“We love to experience new things, places and people. I am really excited to start my journey here,” said Brandon.

Moby Ahmed joined White Lodging as the general manager of the Nashville Marriott at Vanderbilt. Ahmed came to White Lodging after a long, successful career as an executive for a variety of hotel management and hospitality companies across the country. He previously has worked for Potomac Hotel Group, Oceanic Hotels International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham International, Ambient Hotel Group and Richfield Hospitality. Most recently, he was a managing partner with A/R Hotels LLC.

“I’m excited to become a part of White Lodging and to contribute to the company’s growth,” Ahmed said. “I will work so the Nashville Marriott will exceed expectations of its owners, of White Lodging and its associates.”
