Tawny Paperd joins Four Seasons Seattle as Director of Sales and Marketing

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle welcomes Tawny Paperd as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. A Washington native, Paperd will oversee a team in charge of sales, catering, marketing, public relations and social media for the hotel.

“Tawny’s extensive and varied knowledge of the city and her experience with sales, marketing and catering in the hotel industry made her a natural fit for our team,” says Ilse Harley, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, the state’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel.

“From the moment I started working in the hospitality industry in 1986, I loved it,” says Paperd. “Originally, my desire was to pursue a career in accounting. After several years in accounting, I realized that my passion was much more around serving guests. From there, I transferred into convention services and then found my calling in sales and catering.”

Paperd worked at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel and Towers as director of corporate sales and director of catering, where she spent 18 years. In 2003, Paperd moved to Salish Lodge & Spa as director of catering. In 2005, she joined the operations team as assistant director of food and beverage, and was promoted to director of food and beverage shortly thereafter. In late 2007, Paperd joined Hotel 1000 as director of sales, and became director of sales and marketing in 2010, where she has spent the last four years.
