First Sofitel turns 50

The first Sofitel in the world opened in the summer of 1964 in Strasbourg, France. The Sofitel Strasbourg Grande Ile doesn’t look like a 50-year old, as it’s undergone a complete renovation over the last 7-8 years.

According to its General Manager, Jean-Philippe Kern, its refurbishment – as with all Sofitel properties – sought to combine its heritage of French elegance with the best of the local culture. Have a look….
